February Picture

We thought that it would be an idea to take a picture from the same spot once a month to see how the plot changes through the seasons. This is the first. All looking a bit bare and bleak, will post another on the 24th March.

We are going to leave this pile of logs in among the plum trees to see what wildlife might make use of it.

Great idea about the photo - I am starting from a blank canvas too - could i pinch your idea?

I also have an area where I am hoping to encourage wildlife such as Hedgehogs and Frogs - any signs of wildlife in the city are a welcome addition in my book!

Hi - I remember these nice tidy beds. Nice to see you again. I just happened to be checking out some links. I have a log pile too, but no way to tell what might be using it. I'm sure something finds it a refuge now and then. Happy spring, almost.

A woodpile is a fantastic idea! You will encourage more goodies than you will baddies. Frogs and stag beetles to name but two. In Autumn you can also put mushroom spawn or spores on your woodpile!
